Job duties:
Supervise, coordinate, schedule and assign duties to the service shop mechanics;
Collaborate and communicate with the other Service Shop Supervisor (two total supervisors), Service Shop Manager and Retail Shop Manager to oversee and adjust shop procedures and standards. Collaborate on improving and maintaining procedures to maximise service output and the quality of service completion
Provide expert technical knowledge & service skills of all components of current DH, Enduro and Trail bikes for all of the mechanics working under you and be able to teach the skills of repairing and replacing ALL components of all types of mountain bikes to the mechanics throughout each work day
Provide clear procedures on tuning, repairing and maintaining our performance DH MTB fleet and supervise the mechanics executing the rental fleet service.
Inspect the mechanics’ work throughout the day to ensure our service standards are upheld at all times
Understand the consistency of our high standards is not only imperative to our business, but also to the lives and well-being of our customers riding the bicycles we service
Resolve any customer conflicts that arise from servicing bicycles in our service shop
Maintain our deep inventory of components for servicing bicycles by running weekly inventory reports, counts and placing weekly orders to maintain the inventory levels. Collaborate with the other other service shop supervisor and service shop manager to find distributors of parts and tools required by the service shop.
Complete warranties for components which have been deemed warranty by our service shop procedures
Complete service job write-ups under customer files as well as supervise the mechanics entering service job write-ups
Perform open and close procedures including watching over the fleet of performance mountain bikes and our customers’ high performance bicycles as they are locked properly in our racks daily.
Organize each day’s service job priorities in the morning and throughout every work day
Recommend actions to improve shop procedures
Assist with the recruitment of new staff;
Set a positive example for the service shop mechanics to follow regarding customer service, organization and complete and competent procedure execution;
In the winter months also supervise and perform set-up and servicing of snowboards (Exclusively supervising service of mountain bikes from March 15~ Nov 15, and supervising service of both bicycles and snow equipment for 4 months)
Respond to service shop emails throughout each day.
Requirements:
Prior experience as a bicycle mechanic – minimum 4 years,
Prior experience in supervision of employees - minimum 6 months
Excellent technical knowledge of current DH, Enduro and Trail bikes and components and the servicing and repair of all bicycle components and specifically high performance
Ability to teach service skills including: building and truing wheels; complete tear down and rebuild of Fox and RockShox forks including dampers and chargers; replacing headset, hub and frame bearings; complete tear down and re-build of pressurized rear shocks
Technical understanding of Snowboard equipment and gear
Proper grammar for composing emails to customers.

The JrCAS will learn, maintain and support solution application components within CIS. Cerner Millennium Application components of the clinical team include - but may not be limited to - PowerChart, SurgiNet and FirstNet and the specialized applications contained within each (i.e. Message Centre, Dynamic Documentation, MPages, Surgical Documentation, etc.).As part of the Provincial CIS Operations Team, the JrCAS is responsible to assist with the investigation and resolution of Millennium application problems, enhancements and maintenance of application areas. The incumbent requires a working knowledge of change control, system / integration testing, security and clinical business processes. The JrCAS is responsible to gain a working knowledge of other systems integrating with CIS such as eScription, ICOR (billing system), RIS / PACS, as well as other health and government networking systems. Approximately 2000 clinicians and support staff utilize these systems across all acute care (7 Hospitals).Duties: - Monitor, support, configure and administer the daily operation and build of the applications. - Become proficient in the function and use of Cerner Millennium based tools to support the ongoing operation and development of the CIS - Maintain detailed knowledge of the applications related to the Clinical informatics unit and the configuration of such, by assisting with the development of application standards and guidelines, and accurate documentation- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of system and clinical business workflow- Provide advice, system guidance and recommendations to other Clinical Application Specialists, CIS IT Consultants, CAs (Clinical Analysts), CIS staff, project teams with regards to system abilities and requirements- Troubleshoot system and application related issues in conjunction with the clients, ITSS staff, and external service providers as required using appropriate system tools- Provide second-tier application support to the users of CIS including physicians, nursing and allied health- Support all aspects of the business within the CIS application, translation of information between the business and the vendor, and the knowledge and use of application tools related to the end user environment- Provide support for upgrades, maintenance and operation activities concerning the Clinical Information System- Participate and consult with project and operational staff and provide advice and recommendations with regards to the definition of system and application requirements- Consult with clients, project and operational staff and assist with gathering information to define user requirements - Participate and assist other CAs/CASs with presentations of proposed new functionality to various audiences- Maintains a culture of safety within the organization and will be aware of their role in supporting client’s safety within the organization; and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - Successful completion of a university degree in computer science or diploma in an Information Technology related field.- Experience with application support and knowledge of the field related to the supported system and other related information systems;- Experience with complex issues management and problem solving;- Experience working with a wide range of key stakeholders and target solution users;- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously;- Experience with an incident tracking and management system (eg.
