Inventory Specialist - Whitehorse, YT - $28+/hour As an Inventory Specialist for our store, you will be responsible for the accurate delivery of all goods to customers in the region, keeping inventory and shop in order and adhering to Kal Tire’s work and safety standards. Perform all aspects of shop work.
Perform appropriate maintenance of tools and equipment.

2+ years of warehousing experience, preferably within the Tire industry.

Experience working in an environment where safety procedures are a key part of daily operations.
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.

Job Description
Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Warehouse Clerk receives, verifies and stocks merchandise, prepares orders, packs goods and ships orders in a timely manner. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Highly meticulous in keeping the warehouse tidy, ensuring merchandise is placed in the right location;
Ensures productivity and safety in the warehouse as well as in the yard;
Ensures orders are filled accurately and on time;
Offload trucks, check for missing and damaged merchandise;
Receive and verify shipments and place merchandise in stock;
Locate related Customer back-orders and advise Customer of their arrival;
Place and arrange stock in orderly fashion and re-arrange as required;
Maintain the merchandise displays in an attractive manner;
Pick and pack goods, and ship orders in an accurate and timely manner;
Pack for goods damage free shipment;
Keep the warehouse tidy ensuring productivity and safety in the warehouse;
Provide sales support at the Counter as needed greeting customers, preparing orders, merchandising and other assigned tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a similar position is an asset;
Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines;
Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude;
Demonstrated initiative to self-improvement of your business and product skills;
Good PC skills including MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook;
Proactive in finding ways to improve productivity in the Warehouse;
Must be able to handle items under 50lbs;
Valid forklift certificate is an asset; otherwise training will be provided.

Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Computer knowledge an asset.
Experience operating mobile equipment considered an asset.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work well as part of a team.
Solid oral and written communication skills.
