We are currently looking for two (2) full-time Truck Drivers to support our operations to join our team.  This is a full-time year-round position. Details of this position: Permanent, Full time 40 hours a week $22-$25/hour depending on experience 2 weeks vacation This position entails delivering feed out of the Tavistock location but there may be times when you may need to be trucking out of our other locations. This is position will include delivering bulk and bags. Job Duties: To load and unload truck, completing required paperwork and submitting documentation after each shift; Deliver bagged feed when necessary (may include delivering bags with bulk feed); To deliver feed in a safe and efficient manner; Consistently portray professionalism and provide a high standard of customer service; Adhere to company procedures and safety policies; Help maintain a clean truck, both inside and outside, pre-trip inspections, end-of-shift inspection of cab, and weekly trailer inspection/sweeping out; To cooperate with mill workers and help in the mill and warehouse when required; When necessary, help deliver feed at our other locations; Prepare paperwork for data tracking; Operate and drive primarily tanker and/or straight-body trucks weighing over 4500kg to transport goods and materials on local route; Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes; Ensure load is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods; Record load information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books; Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers, sales representative and customers; May perform basic emergency roadside repairs. Job Requirements Must be a team player, but capable of working without supervision. Ability to multi-task effectively. Preferred mechanical aptitude (able to diagnose problems quickly and take appropriate action). Ability to communicate efficiently in the English language, both verbally and written.
