Job Overview:
Advanced Level Roofing is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Specialist to manage, optimize, and adapt its existing business systems as the company expands into new provinces and communities. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless adaptation and enhancement of business systems to support growth, efficiency, and operational excellence. The Business Systems Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure business systems are robust, scalable, and tailored to the evolving needs of the company .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology and System Optimization, Integration & Adaptation:
Analyze and adapt the current roofing business system to meet the specific needs of new provinces and communities .
Work closely with business leaders to understand regional market demands and ensure the system is flexible and scalable .
Identify and drive opportunities for operational improvement within existing business systems, including Ontraccr Application Development, Sales Rabbit system integration, CRM management, and sales processes .
Oversee and enhance staff training on Financeit applications, and improve sales data tracking, reporting, and analysis to optimize performance and decision-making .
Recommend modifications to optimize operational performance across new markets .
Expand and integrate the business system to manage multi-location operations, ensuring seamless data flow and system updates across all locations .
Provide cloud-based access to regional teams for consistent communication and operational uniformity .
Design, develop, and implement tailored business and marketing information systems solutions to support expansion efforts .
Collaborate with IT, operations, and business teams to integrate systems with company processes and ensure adaptability to new markets .
Oversee system updates and ensure they comply with local business and compliance regulations.
Ensure the system supports core business functions such as estimating, project management, invoicing, reporting, and customer relationship management (CRM).
2. Customization & System Enhancements:
Oversee the customization of the roofing business system for new regions, ensuring system changes are properly documented .
Regularly test new system features and enhancements to ensure functionality and alignment with business requirements .
Identify opportunities for system automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes .
3. Compliance & Security:
Ensure that the system complies with industry regulations and standards across various provinces and communities .
Provide expertise in data security and privacy, ensuring that all business systems securely protect client, project, and company data .
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between business units (operations, marketing, finance) and technology teams, ensuring alignment on business system objectives and operational goals .
Provide guidance and training to employees on system functionalities, updates, and best practices .
Troubleshoot issues with the system and ensure smooth daily operations .
Work closely with project managers and external contractors to ensure new systems meet project requirements and deadlines .
5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Implement regional performance tracking systems to monitor key metrics such as sales growth, customer satisfaction, operational costs, and workforce performance .
Use data insights to adjust strategies, enhance performance, and improve operational efficiency .
Provide actionable insights to senior management on cost-saving measures, operational improvements, and opportunities for further system enhancements .
6. Training & Documentation:
Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation to ensure staff effectively utilize the business systems .
Provide ongoing training and support to employees across different regions as the company expands .
Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, modifications, and updates to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance .
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field .
Experience:
Experience in business analysis, business system optimization, process analysis, and implementation ideally within the construction, roofing, or a related industry is preferred.
Experience supporting multi-location or multi-market operations, particularly in scaling and adapting business systems for new markets .
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of business processes within the roofing or construction industry .
Advanced proficiency with business systems and software such as Ontraccr Application Development, Sales Rabbit system integration, CRM management, Financeit applications, Sales data tracking and reporting .
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions .
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and train staff on new systems .
In-depth understanding of system security, data privacy, and compliance regulations within the construction industry .
