The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and administrative office as well as maintaining the grounds, lawns, and planters.
Some of the job duties include but are not limited to:
Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper in all weather conditions.
Complete work order requests in an efficient manner.
Maintain all work areas in an orderly and clean condition.
Inspect public areas daily for any issues.
Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas, and administrative offices.
Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door, and window repairs.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of all hotel issues, how they can be prevented and how to repair them. They must be able to lift 50lbs and push up to 100lbs. Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Must have minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to those with tickets or other certificates.
Must have a minimum 1 year of hotel maintenance experience.
Salary- $23.00-$23.75 per hour

Room Attendants are responsible for ensuring all guest rooms in the complex are properly cleaned and left tidy.
Job duties for this position include:
Cleaning and disinfecting wash basins, counter tops, toilets, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
Washing and drying glass surfaces.
Loading dishwasher and putting away clean dishes and cutlery.
Washing and drying other items such as pots and pans.
Emptying and cleaning trash containers.
Dusting furniture and fixtures.
Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, moving furniture when required.
Making up beds and changing linens as required.
Replace dirty linen and used amenities in bathrooms.
Sweeping, and mopping floors.
Restocking room supplies such as glassware, coffee, and writing supplies.
Checking all appliances are in working order and reporting any deficiencies.
Assist with cleaning the public areas, washrooms and elevators when required.
Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
Respond to guest requests for additional items.
Observe and report damage of hotel property.
Other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites: Previous customer service and housekeeping experience is an asset. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including overtime when required. Successful applicants must be able to bend, lift, push and pull with ease. This is a very physical and demanding position requiring lifting 25 lbs and pushing up to 50 lbs.

Blackcomb Springs Suites is recruiting for Night Supervisor to work out of our slope side hotel located at 4899 Painted Cliff Road, Whistler, BC, V8E 1E2. This is a full-time, permanent position, and successful candidates must be available to work a combination of weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts. The language of work is English.
Coordinate, supervise and schedule those working at night, making sure they perform the tasks assigned to them and adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures.
Review reservations to ensure data accuracy.
Conduct daily briefing with morning and evening Guest Services Team to inform them of nightly activities, group, and VIP arrivals as well as special requests and repeat guests.
Direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
Coordinate with the Front Office Manager/Manager on Duty and work closely with housekeeping and other departments.
Resolve guest complaints.
Prepare and submit daily summary reports.
Remain current in all updates with regards to new procedures and training.
Assist the Guest Services Manager with implementing and enforce financial controls.
Welcome guests to the hotel in a friendly and helpful manner, process late arrivals and early departures, and provide any required assistance.
Be aware and enforce all fire-life-safety procedures.
Report any suspicious persons, activities and/or hazardous conditions to hotel management and Strata management company.
Always maintain a professional work environment for all team members.
Completion of a college course in hotel, tourism or travel related studies.
Previous front office, including night audit experience required.
Computer knowledge and experience using MS office programs.
Excellent customer service, time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
Able to communicate in written and verbal English.
Ability to speak a second language is a strong asset.
Must be able to work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, from 10pm to 8am. Hours are subject to change based on business levels.

Greet customers, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provides accurate information on available services, outlet hours and local attractions;
Complete guest registration and perform check-in and check-out procedures;
Use the company computer system to input and receive information, check daily arrivals and departures, review guest accounts and reconcile receipts and vouchers;
Make reservations and assign rooms;
Present and explain invoices to guest and take multiple forms of payment, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained;
Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear English communication.
Field guest complaints and inquiries, and resolve guest problems such as location changes or credit issues;
Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity.
Completion of secondary school is required.
Previous guest service experience in the hotel industry is a strong asset.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent customer service, time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills are required.
Wage: $20.50/hour with overtime in accordance with employment standards
