Job Description
Job Duties:
- Prepare and plan menu for the Hungarian cafe;
- Costing all materials to service the menu, manage stock efficiently, and set menu pricing.
- Training and instructing other cooks and staff to efficiently cook and present the food.
- Scheduling of service staff.
- Dealing with customer inquiries for special events or contract orders.
- Keeping up to date on any new concepts to increase productivity and sales.
- Must be able to work variable hours.
- Be involved in all aspects of the day to day operations in order to find ways to reduce cost.
- Be involved in cost efficient methods to run the cafe.
Education: Post Secondary Certificate required
Work Experience: At least 5 years experience as a cook or chef and knowledge of and experience in cooking Hungarian cuisine. Expertise In relevant cooking appliances (Rational Self Cooking Centre, Thermomix, Pacojet) required.
