Job Description


Contemporary Aluminum Railings Ltd. located in Surrey, BC is looking for 1 Welder to join them on full-time, permanent basis ASAP.

 

Salary: $27.00 to 30.00/hr. based on experience.

Hours of work: 40 hours/week. min. 5 days per week

Location of work: 18521 - 97 Ave, Surrey, BC, V4N 3N9

 

Requirements:

  • Education: High School certification would be an asset
  • Experience: minimum 1 to 2 years.

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

 

Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Sitting, Standing for extended periods

 

Duties Include:

  • Operate welding equipment on aluminum using GMAW technique (MIG welding);
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment,
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal,
  • Determine weld ability of materials,
  • Interpret welding process specifications,
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
  • Perform the job according to the drawings provided.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications.
  • Checking all safety controls for proper operations.
  • Ability to coordinate daily tasks and work in a team environment.
