Job Description


Position:  Sewing Machine Operator

Employer:  Material Girl

Employer’s Location:  565 North River Rd., Suite 3, Charlottetown, PEI, Canada C1E 1J7

Salary:  $15.00 per hour, for 40 hours/week

Position type:  permanent, full-time

1 Vacancy

 

Language:  English required

Education:  no degree, certificate or diploma

Experience:  1 year to less than 2 years

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:  Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Attention to detail; Hand-eye co-ordination; Ability to distinguish between colours; Sitting

Personal Suitability:  Accurate; Reliability; Organized

 

Specific Skills:

  • Use sewing guides and tension devices;
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand;
  • Operate machines to join sections of fabrics or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis.
