Job Duties
Specific Skills: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Order supplies and equipment. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas. Organize and manage buffets and banquets.
Additional Skills: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Terms of Employment: Indeterminate/Permanent. Full time. Non-seasonal

Wage: $16.00 per hour
Benefits: Vacation pay pursuant to Alberta Labour Standards, food discount, flexible hours, gratuities, free golf (during off work hours).
Hours: 6-8 hours per day, 30-44 hours per week, 120 Schedule varies – Monday thru Sunday
Skills Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in commercial cooking. Menu planning & preparation, catering experience an asset, inventory and product/portion control. Trade certification is not mandatory, but voluntary in Alberta.
