Job Description


We want to recruit an Assistant Greenkeeper to assist our Course Manager in taking Guildford Golf Club to an even higher level of quality and presentation. This full time position is based on a 40 hour week, with working hours dependant on the seasons and weekend-end working on a rota basis with paid overtime.
The applicant will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' greenkeeping experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a can-do attitude
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance or working towards it
  • A sound knowledge in the operation of modern greenkeeping equipment
  • A willingness to learn and develop, and achieve additional industry related qualifications
  • An understanding of Health and Safety
  • Good time management
  • An ability to work well as part of a team and on their own
  • The ability to play golf
  • A full driving licence
  • Spraying and Chainsaw certificates are desirable but not essential
