  • Job duties:
    • Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in, stucco, plastering, drywall installation, crown moldings and painting.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other subcontractors.
    • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
    • Order/requisition materials and supplies.
    • Train workers in the company’s policies and procedures, safety protocols, and work duties.
    • Prepare work progress reports
    • May also supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and laborers.
    • At times, in order to conduct hands-on training of workers or if deadline or workload requirements make it necessary, may also:
      • Apply EIFS SYSTEM DUROCK, weatherproof, decorative covering of Portland cement or gypsum plaster to outside building surfaces, using hand tools.
      • Decorate final or finish coat by marking coat with sand, or with brush or trowel.
      • Install guidewires on exterior surfaces of buildings to indicate thickness of plaster or stucco, and nail wire mesh, lath, or similar materials to the outside surface to hold stucco in place.
      • Install crown molding, ornamental plaster pieces, panels, and trim.
      • Rough the undercoat surface with a scratcher so the finish coat will adhere.
      • Spray acoustic materials or texture finish over walls and ceilings.
      • Apply insulation to building exteriors by installing prefabricated insulation systems over existing walls or by covering the outer wall with insulation board, reinforcing mesh, and a base coat.

  • Skills requirements:

 

  • Experience with supervising, co-ordinating and scheduling the activities of construction workers.
  • Experience with conducting training.
  • Experience with ordering materials.
  • Experience with preparing work progress reports.
  • Experience with safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets/EIFS Stucco system.
  • Ability to use sander/rasp, drill, trowel, corner tools, and chalk line.
  • Ability to continuously apply successive coats of comping and sand seams and joints.
  • Ability to apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
  • Ability to apply trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Ability to mold and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trims.
  • Ability to install and trim exterior crown moldings.
  • Required education: Completion of secondary school is preferred but not required.

 

  • Required work experience: Several years of work experience in the industry is preferred but not required
