Position Title & # Of Vacancies: Food Service Supervisor – 1 Vacancy 

Job Duties 

Specific Skills:

• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
• Hire food service staff
• Ensure food service and quality control
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Prepare and submit reports
• Establish work schedules

Additional Skills:

• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
• Establish methods to meet work schedules 

Work Site Environment: Noisy 

Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Physically demanding; Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Standing for extended periods; Walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people, Cook (general), Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers

Terms of Employment: Full-time; Permanent

Wage: $18.50 CAD/HR

Hours: 35 to 40 hours/week

Skills Requirements

Education: Completion of secondary school (high school) is required

Work Experience: Several years of experience (1 year to less than 2 years minimum) in food preparation or service are required.
