Job Duties

Specific Skills: 

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• May clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• May hire and train kitchen staff.

Skills Requirements - Education & Work Experience:

No experience or Experience is an asset if completed College or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years related to commercial cooking such as Food Science and Technology or Cooking and Related Culinary Arts.

We will consider an equivalent of 1 to 2 years of cooking work experience if the applicant has only graduated high school or did not complete a minimum of 1-year diploma program.
