Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Honey Bear Childcare Ltd. requires 2 Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join them ASAP

Terms of Employment: Full-time year round work

Wages - $18.00 to $19.00 per hours (based on experience) for 35 to 40 hours a week

Duties:

• Assist Early Childhood Educators in different programs that promote both physical and mental development of children;
• Discuss children’s progress and challenges during staff meetings;
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children;
• Assist early childhood educators in different programs that promote both physical and mental development of children;
• Arrange different activities for children such as telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts;
• Arrange/serve snacks and keep the lunch room ready before having lunch. Assist with proper eating and dressing habits;
• Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors;
• Order, supply and maintain childcare equipment;
• Help the early childhood educators to keep records;
• Perform other related duties as required

Skills requirement:

• Completion of Secondary Education required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certificate program will be an asset.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in child care is required.
• Good command of English both written and oral
