Our family is looking for a full-time caregiver (Private Home) in a permanent full-time position for an elderly person for 35 hours per week at our home at 75 Castleridge Way NE, Calgary AB T3J 1P8 and possible work on evenings and weekends depending on our schedules.

The wage is $17.00 per hour and the job commences right away. Benefit of two week paid vacation and overtime rate of $25.50 per hour will be paid if employee works more than 44 hours per week.

Our ideal candidate would have 1 year to 2 year of work experience as a caregiver for an elderly person.

High School education required. Nursing background preferred.

English and Punjabi speaking is required.

The age of the elderly person is 92 years old.                                                              

Duties:

• Caring and have empathy for elderly to support with daily life routine;
• Bathe and dress;
• Prepare meals and feed;
• Assist with doctors’ appointments, medication, check blood pressure and glucose level and document charts;
• Assist with hygiene care and cleaning duties;
• Light housekeeping to maintain safe, healthy and hygienic environment in the home;
• Companionship and read Punjabi books and scripts; and
• Tend to emotional well-being.
