Salary: $18.85 per hour, 40-44 hours per week

Job Requirements:

Languages : English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Will train

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Adult Abuse Registry, Vulnerable sector check

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Walking, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks

Work Location Information: Work in employer's parent's home

Work Site Environment: Non-smoking

Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment

Specific Skills /Main Duties:

• Provide care and companionship for individuals
• Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as standby assistance in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
• Perform routine health- related duties such as assisting in the administration of medications
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk and active range of motion of all joints
• Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder).
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Perform routine light housekeeping and cleaning duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
