Description

We are a private household with 4 children ages 15, 10, 8, and 6 years old. We need a child caregiver to care for our children while we are at work.

Specific Skills:

Supervise and care for children in employer's or own residence

Bathe, dress, and feed children

Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals

May perform light housekeeping duties

May launder and mend clothes

Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

Instruct children in personal hygiene

Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development

Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings

Take children to and from school and appointments

May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child

Accompany the family to all scheduled travels and holidays

Be able to drive and hold a valid driver’s license

Terms of Employment:          Permanent, Full time

Language of work:                 English

Wage:                                      16.50 per hour

Hours:                                     30 to 40 hours per week

Location of work:                   Ottawa, Ontario
