Medical Office Assistant

LifeSmart Medical is looking to hire a Medical Clinic Assistant for our growing company. The role will focus on patient triage and exam room preparation for the physicians within the clinic, as well as booking patients for future appointments.

We are hiring for one location:

LifeSmart Medical Osborne/Cardio 1 (2-230 Osborne Street, Winnipeg)

The position will be fast paced and require the successful candidate to be very mobile. Efficiency and accuracy will be incredibly important for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Ideal candidate will:

-Have a degree/diploma in a relevant field

-MUST have experience using Accuro EMR

-Have previous experience working in clinic reception/medical clinic (required)

-Be flexible with a variety of shifts, however most shifts will be Monday-Friday. Some evenings and weekend shifts may be required.

-Have experience with Medical Billing

-Have a proven record of being reliable

-Possess excellent communication skills (additional languages an asset)

-Have a professional demeanor

-Show a strong work ethic and ability to work independently

-Show a willingness to learn

Qualifications and Skills

Duties will include:

-Greeting of patients

-Triaging patients accordingly, including taking of measurements and relevant vitals

-Preparing exam and procedure room for patients

-Assisting as needed with procedures and examinations

-Answering phones

-Booking appointments

-Cleaning

-Management of clinic stock

-Scanning and Filing

-Other duties as needed
